The Type of Wood Matters

Homeowners as well as businesses face several decisions when considering any new fencing solution.  Our goal at Titan is to make the proper recommendations to suit the needs of each individual client. The first decision is always the type of wood.  A fence constructed from high-quality materials is your best defense against the elements. Overtime, the harsh Texas weather can exact considerable damage to a fence.   Our experts at Titan use only high-quality fence supplies and materials that resist extreme weather conditions including moisture, temperature and humidity.  Replacing your fence is an investment in your future and will add value to a home or business.

According to the International Association of Certified Home Builders, a wood fence has an approximate lifespan of about 20 years with regular maintenance. A fence’s life expectancy can be increased significantly if you pay more up front for a high-quality wood. Here are a few of the species that tend to hold up better than others:

Western Red Cedar      White Oak      Pressure Treated Pine      Plastic Lumber

Fenced In Pet Areas

Keeping pets confined in a small fenced in area will help protect your lawn & landscape from unwanted digging and chewing plus keep your pets safer.  We have installed a variety of pet fences for both homeowners and businesses in the North Texas area.  The most common type of pet fence is usually chain-link or hurricane style fencing.  Black ornamental iron is also a popular style but is a more expensive option.  Titan Fence offers ornamental iron pet fencing in a variety of colors and heights.  It is a more appealing than chain-link and will add value to a home or business.

Pet lovers who own homes have found that a side yard tends to be the best location for a fenced in dog run / pet area.  This provides easier access for the homeowner to their pets and in some cases a doggie door can be installed giving our canine friends free access in and out of the home.

Slopes and retaining walls

Titan fence regularly builds retaining walls with many fence projects to achieve optimum landscaping, property usage and appearance. Texas is known for its flat terrains but many areas do have a slight slope which can have dramatic effects when designing and constructing fences and landscapes.

Retaining walls are structures specifically designed to restrain soil to unnatural slopes. They are used to bound soils between two different elevations often in areas of terrain possessing undesirable slopes or in areas where the landscape needs to be shaped severely and engineered for more specific purposes such as residential and commercial tiered developments, hillside farming or roadway overpasses. Our expert designers and engineers regularly take on the task of elevating or leveling a property for homeowners and businesses. Some of these projects include constructing retaining walls prior to installing pools, expanding as well as flattening landscapes and parking lots along with a wide range of projects where retaining walls are a benefit.

For years local homeowners and businesses have relied on Titan Fence to provide optimum fence and retaining wall solutions as the North Texas area continues to grow.
